Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Burscough Manor Care Home. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and hygiene support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with eating and drinking, and encourage them to participate in daily activities
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being
  • Support residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focused on their individual hobbies, preferences, and abilities
  • Maintain high standards within the care home environment, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming space for residents and staff
  • Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure residents' needs are met, including working night shifts and weekends

Requirements:

  • A positive outlook and a warm personality
  • Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working in the health and social care sector, with experience beneficial but not essential
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents
