About the Role

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Estates to lead our client's Estates Division. As a key member of the University's senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering our ambitious Campus Vision, driving service excellence, and supporting our net zero goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice to the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Chief Operating Officer on estates-related matters.
  • Lead the Estates Division, comprising c.200 staff, and drive excellence in service delivery across a large and varied university estate.
  • Develop and implement the Campus Masterplan, working closely with international architects and stakeholders.
  • Deliver major capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, partners, and neighbours to achieve the 2045 Campus Vision.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in estates leadership roles within large, complex industry-leading organisations.
  • Track record of delivering major capital programmes and setting a clear vision for teams.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong influence on the advancement of the university.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff to deliver exceptional results.
