Electrical Systems Engineer Job Description

Mocean Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and specifying electrical systems for our wave-based renewable energy machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for our wave energy converters
  • Specify electrical systems for our renewable energy machines
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement electrical system designs
  • Work with our suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical system components
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure efficient and reliable operation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Systems, Automation and Control, or a suitable relevant degree
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering, with practical hands-on experience in an offshore environment
  • Experience in power electronics, instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Understanding of generators, power converters, rectifiers, and inverters
  • Understanding of controls and communications systems
  • Experience in applying codes, standards, and directives
