E-commerce Team Lead

Cancer Research UK is seeking an experienced Online Marketplace Team Leader to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our Online Marketplace team, you will be responsible for motivating and guiding a team of Marketplace Assistants, overseeing the item journey, and ensuring the team meets their objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Marketplace team on a day-to-day basis, including rota creation and management, staff and volunteer development, and training and induction.
- Support the team by driving KPIs to achieve the overall Marketplace budget.
- Provide feedback to the team on performance through 1-2-1 and focus conversations.
- Participate in team meetings and events and lead in the manager's absence.
- Ensure the quality of photography and listings meets the required standard and is consistent across marketplaces and hubs.
- Support all areas of the Online Marketplace operation as required.
- Support training and materials for the shop and warehouse teams to ensure the right items are being selected for each Marketplace.
- Oversee stock volumes and ensure there is enough stock ready for listers.
- Check all areas are compliant with Health & Safety and housekeeping standards.
- Team management and supervision experience in a Retail, E-commerce, Online Marketplace, or Warehouse/Depot environment (c. team of 10).
- Experience working to meet team targets/KPIs with an ability to motivate teams with excellent time management.
- Excellent eye for detail with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient IT and administrative skills (including Microsoft Packages and databases such as data entry in Excel).
- Good brand awareness with an understanding of current product trends and an interest in either fashion, accessories, antiques, or collectables.
- Experience with photography, or buying or selling on online marketplaces (e.g., eBay, Depop, Vestiaries, ASOS) would be beneficial but is not essential.
