Job Summary

ROVOP, a global ROV specialist, is seeking a skilled Contracts Engineer to join our team in Westhill. As a key member of our Commercial department, you will provide support in tender preparation and collaborate with the Operations team to address project commercial issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compile budget proposals and tenders, including associated subcontractor and supplier proposals, in accordance with our internal management systems.
  • Develop detailed and accurate tender price estimates.
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive clarification registers for tenders and work with the Technical Sales Manager to ensure a suitable and achievable technical solution is provided.
  • Prepare commercial and collate contractual & technical deliverables for inclusion in client tender submissions, with support from other departments as required.
  • Draft and/or negotiate Call Offs to previously established contracts.
  • Maintain commercial databases such as CRM.
  • Lead the handover process between Commercial and Operations of all relevant commercial and contractual documents, including a detailed review of the tender risk register.
  • Provide ongoing support to the operations team in relation to commercial issues that arise on projects and work with the Project Manager to identify efficiencies to increase margin.
  • Ensure the accuracy of project invoicing on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to evaluate supplier management and strategic partnerships on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Several years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of operating in global jurisdictions, given the global remit of this role, is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level, preferably with a business-related degree.
