About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at the East Kent Colleges Group. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high levels of need, providing individualized support to ensure their academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to students with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, and Physical needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
- Assist students with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs, as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's goals and objectives.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, an understanding of behavior management, and a passion for inspiring students to be active in learning. Experience working with students with high needs, particularly those with visual and/or hearing impairments, global development delay, and language & communication difficulties, is highly desirable.
