About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electric Vehicle Powertrain Technician to join our team at Intertek. As an EV Tech Technician, you will be responsible for operating multiple test rigs outside of normal office hours, using defined test methods and scripts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and calibration of data acquisition systems
  • Debugging and commissioning of complex electronic systems with high speed serial interfaces (CAN/FLEXRAY etc)
  • Ensure that the data generated is valid and in line with customer requirements
  • Liaise with colleagues, customers and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Ensure all instrumentation used is calibrated in line with company procedures
  • Help to implement and follow safe systems of work
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in EV powertrain or hybrid system test operations. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Opportunity

You will join our Transportation Technologies division, which has two laboratories based in Milton Keynes. Our team is responsible for providing testing services for electric vehicle propulsion systems, and we are looking for someone to help us drive this growth.
