Job Description

Job Summary:

Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Casual Childcare Worker to join our Early Years Team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality childcare provision as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Childcare Supervisor in providing a high-quality childcare provision within the area.
  • Work with children and provide a high-quality learning environment for 0-5 year olds.
  • Participate in planning meetings and actively contribute to the observation, planning, and assessment cycle.
  • Have a relevant qualification in Early Years/Childcare, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Childcare Facilities.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
  • Relevant experience, ideally 3 years, of working with children in Early Years.
  • Experience of participating in planning meetings.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Childcare Facilities.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of working with parents in group settings.
