Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Land Survey Technician to enhance our team. This role involves executing a variety of surveying tasks utilizing advanced technology, including total stations and GPS systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage small to medium-sized surveying projects while ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior surveyors on larger, more complex projects, following their guidance and instructions.
- Process and analyze survey data and CAD information to meet stringent operational benchmarks.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of traversing and GPS control networks.
- Accurately set up surveying equipment, document findings, and provide logistical assistance to team members.
- Support the development of junior surveyors by sharing practical knowledge and experience on-site.
- Conduct preliminary site evaluations and perform dynamic risk assessments to ensure safety protocols are followed before commencing work.
- Engage in training programs to develop skills in measured building surveying, laser scanning, and complex topographical surveys, while gaining foundational knowledge in site engineering.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in the surveying industry.
- Proven ability to conduct independent topographical surveys of small to medium scale.
- Skilled in processing raw survey data and CAD outputs to a high standard.
- Familiarity with traversing and GPS control networks is essential.
- Technical expertise and hands-on experience with surveying instruments and software.
- A strong desire to build a long-term career and broaden skills across various surveying fields.
- Possession of a valid UK driver's license is required.
