JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking applications for future projects.

We invite expressions of interest from experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Designers for a hybrid contract role.

The ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills and have a background in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG, or Power Generation sectors. Previous experience in a comparable role is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate initiative and the capability to generate electrical deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a solid understanding of relevant international codes and standards and their implementation.
  • Exhibit a high level of proficiency in Micro-station 2D (familiarity with Smart plant S3D and/or SPEL is beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Deliver various outputs including Substation design, Cable routing, Area classification layouts, Cable and MTO Schedules, Standard installation details, and Lighting and earthing philosophies and layouts.
  • Have a strong grasp of plant design and equipment layout, with the ability to collaborate with other design disciplines to advance a cohesive plant design.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferably hold a HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in project phases including FEED and Detailed Engineering (EPC).
  • Computer literate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
