Job Title: Software Verification Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Verification Lead to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our engineering and technical recruitment team, you will be responsible for leading software verification activities for a leading global Aerospace company.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have experience in software verification, particularly in unit testing, and will be able to work in an agile environment using the SCRUM framework. You will be responsible for conducting software verification activities, preparing technical specifications, and providing technical support in hardware and software integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct software verification activities, including authoring test specifications, test scripts, and performing unit testing using tool suites.
  • Prepare technical specifications and interfaces for Electrical Power Distribution Systems, including review and evaluation of legacy artefacts.
  • Provide technical support in hardware and software integration for the Electrical Power Distribution System.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including Certification, Safety, and Quality teams, to realise project commitments.
  • Work in an agile environment using the SCRUM framework, including daily stand-up, planning, and retrospective sessions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Experience in safety-critical systems and software lifecycle.
  • Good experience of working on DO178 B/C.
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols and related tools, such as CAN, RS485, I2C, SPI, ARINC429, Canalyser/bus-master, Raven, and FireSpy.
  • Experience with driver design of CAN, SPI, and RS485.
  • Experience in C/C++ programming for embedded devices and knowledge of assembly language.
  • Good knowledge of microcontroller and its functional architecture, such as NXP 32-bit.
  • Hands-on experience of using SDE (such as S32 Design Studio).
  • Strong debugging skills and knowledge of using debuggers, such as Lauterbach and trace32 scripting.
  • Hands-on experience of using low-voltage lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes and potentiometers.

£75 inside IR35

Duration:

12 Months

Please note that due to the nature of the work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules. Therefore, these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.

Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
