Physicist - Defence Sector Engineering

A leading Defence company, based in Cambridge, is seeking a highly skilled Physicist to join their team. As a Physicist in the Defence sector, you will be working on a wide range of cutting-edge technologies that will enhance the UK's defence against external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development in thermal, optics, electromagnetics, acoustics, fluidics, chemical, and other scientific technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions.
  • Work on complex projects, including those involving Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's Defence sector capabilities.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics or a related field.
  • Experience in a post-doc role or industry experience in Defence sector technologies.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance or already hold security clearance.
  • Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
