Our client, a well-established company with over 25 years in the industry, specializes in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance of specialized waste processing equipment. Due to ongoing success and strategic growth, they are looking to hire a versatile Service Engineering Specialist to join their dedicated and professional team.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fabrication, electrical work, and welding.
  • A valid UK driving license is essential.

As a Service Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for visiting client locations across the South West, conducting maintenance and repair work on a variety of specialized machinery. Your duties will include:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting breakdowns, including electrical control panels and hydraulic systems.
  • Executing repairs and basic fabrication tasks as needed.

You should be proficient in interpreting electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams and communicating technical information effectively. While experience in constructing or wiring electrical control panels is crucial, a hands-on background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering is also necessary, with welding skills being particularly beneficial.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as part of a team. You should have prior experience in fault diagnosis and repair across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, alongside familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
