Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Systems Engineer to join our team at the Remote Operations Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the secure and reliable network and computer infrastructure for the ROC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the secure and reliable network and computer infrastructure for the ROC
- Automate the collection and reporting of alarm statistics for all remote operations centre controlled plants
- Review and evaluate nuisance alarms and oversee the Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) process to reduce alarm count and improve operator interactions
- Support the implementation of process control changes across various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-machine interface (HMI) types
- Make automatic control systems adjustments where required
- Get involved in projects to support the development and implementation of productivity improvements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in control room operation and using process interfaces such as HMI software/SCADA/PCS7 Siemens
- Digital mindset with a good level of IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system, PC configuration, virtualisation, and networking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to influence others
- Working experience of process controls, operations, commissioning, and projects as well as specific experience in process design, optimisation, automation and/or control loops and systems
- Understanding and experience of PLC programming and/or Advanced Controls
- Experience in working across projects using an analytical mindset and passion to solve problems and drive improvements
- Strong relationship management and team working abilities within a control room environment
- A knowledge of Air Separation operation or similar plant is desirable
- A high level of personal Integrity
