Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service provision at a community level.
  • Play a vital role in the training and development of team members.
  • Contribute significantly to a well-regarded Pharmacotherapy Service.

As a crucial member of the General Practice Team, you will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, communication, and persuasive abilities, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various clinical and non-clinical staff as well as patients. You will operate with clinical autonomy, making informed decisions even in situations of risk, uncertainty, and limited evidence. You should either be a qualified independent prescriber or be in the process of obtaining this qualification.

Leadership and Development:

Your strong leadership capabilities and dedication to fostering the growth of your team members will be essential. Experience in service enhancement and a genuine desire to provide high-quality services across a community are highly valued. Previous experience in primary care is also advantageous.

Collaboration and Integration:

Integration is a primary objective of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team. You will work closely with colleagues in hospital and community pharmacy settings, as well as care homes, to ensure a seamless transition of pharmaceutical care.

We are dedicated to ongoing professional development (CPD) within a nurturing environment. You will be expected to engage with the RPS Core Advanced framework, showcasing your competence across the five domains of practice while also supporting the learning and development of your colleagues.

Travel Requirements:

A willingness and ability to travel throughout the service delivery area is essential for this role.
