Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke and Neurology team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and functional ability.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation, and other relevant therapies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members to promote professional development and growth.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a neurological setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
