Shift Pattern:
Rotating Days and Nights on a 4 on 4 off schedule.
This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of a dynamic team at a cutting-edge facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on a variety of production machinery utilized in the manufacturing of FMCG items, including conveyor and distribution systems.
- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance needs.
- Conduct fault diagnosis on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Possess knowledge of SCADA systems or similar technologies, along with some understanding of PLCs.
Experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is essential.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should hold formal qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, supported by relevant training and experience, such as NVQ Level 3 or a recognized engineering apprenticeship in the food and beverage sector.
- Experience in maintaining standard industrial machinery, including conveyor systems, filling machines, and packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards regarding hygiene and cleanliness is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities also include:
- Implementing a Planned Preventative Maintenance and Condition-Based Monitoring program for critical machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Actively promoting and supporting a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program and assisting in training colleagues in relevant practices, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Providing support for additional maintenance tasks across various sites as required.
- Training Machine Operators to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensuring data integrity and quality through the engineering Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Analyzing system, line, and product performance metrics.
This role necessitates shift work on a 4 on 4 off basis, with each shift lasting 12 hours. Flexibility regarding start and finish times is expected.
