Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a mixed role focusing on audit, tax, and accounts for a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of statutory accounts for a variety of clients
  • Prepare management accounts for a range of clients, including financial analysis and reporting
  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Handling a range of differing clients in a facing role, providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships
  • Carrying out field work, testing, and planning of audits, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Training and assisting junior members of staff with their work, providing guidance and support

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit, tax, and accounts
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a chartered accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of cloud software, including financial management systems and tax preparation tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: £35,000 - £48,000 per annum
  • Flexible working hours, including the option to work from home
  • 25 days holiday allowance + bank holidays
  • Overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate
