Job Title: Field Medical Specialist - Cell Therapy

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Medical Specialist to join our team in the UK, specifically in the area of cell therapy.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert medical education to healthcare professionals in the UK, focusing on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapy for haematological malignancies. This will involve deep understanding and communication of all aspects of cell therapy, including its benefits and challenges. The role will also involve collaboration with the UK CART medical team and business unit members, as well as travel to conferences and meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert medical education to healthcare professionals in the UK, focusing on CAR therapy for haematological malignancies.
  2. Collaborate with the UK CART medical team and business unit members to address specific account challenges and establish who will address local territory account issues.
  3. Undertake extensive travel, including appointments and meetings within the territory, as well as regional, national, and international conferences and meetings.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a medical/nursing/pharmacy/life science professional with excellent scientific communication and presentation skills. Previous industry experience working with CAR/TCR therapies or haemato-oncology is strongly preferred. A postgraduate degree qualification is also highly desirable. The ability to develop new strategic relationships and an understanding of other cancer therapies is essential.
