About the Role

The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College is seeking an experienced Safeguarding & Welfare Officer to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with students, families, and colleagues to prevent children/students becoming looked after and/or suffering significant harm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be experienced and knowledgeable in CAF/TAC processes.
  • Have high-level working knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and practice.
  • Be experienced in working with vulnerable families and students.
  • Be able to make complex decisions about child safety, parent safety, and understand the LA threshold for social service/police/medical involvement.
