The Operations Supervisor will oversee the smooth and effective management of various venues, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulations, and established procedures throughout the region.

The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering outstanding service and will be dedicated to upholding the company's esteemed reputation as a leader in Crowd Management and Event Security, fostering safe environments for events. Travel within the area is necessary for client and operational meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the delivery of high-quality operations at Showsec events by managing the casual workforce effectively. Conduct comprehensive inductions for new venue staff prior to their shifts, along with briefings, coaching, and debriefings for all casual personnel. Oversee security operations at events to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with client expectations. Plan and coordinate responses to incidents for specific events. Manage the security operations budget, track expenses, and document processes accurately. Leverage a strong understanding of access control systems, CCTV technology, and investigative procedures. Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance. Prepare client-facing documentation, including financial proposals for staffing. Complete timely and accurate pre and post-event documentation, including incident reports and risk assessments. Assist the Area Manager in managing relationships with clients and their representatives, including regular meetings to discuss operational matters and performance evaluations. Maintain effective communication with the Area Manager, providing updates as necessary. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and company IT systems (including Smartg8 and JotForm). Ensure accurate recording on the booking module, including timely updates on shift changes. Respond promptly to all communications, where feasible. Uphold staffing standards in accordance with our values, including conduct, performance, health and safety, and welfare. Conduct investigation meetings with casual staff members as needed. Identify training needs in collaboration with the Training department to facilitate team development and progression. Establish a professional mentoring relationship with the casual workforce. Effectively manage the balance of operational and administrative responsibilities. Always maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring effective communication at all levels while upholding confidentiality. Proactively facilitate communication between support services and the casual workforce. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for all operational matters. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will collaborate with clients daily to ensure operational excellence for every event, including the management of staff in accordance with company protocols, regulations, and established processes.
