We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Educator to join our team at Barking & Dagenham College. As an IT Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the IT industry.

• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons, including the creation of schemes of work and assessment methods.
• Student Support and Progression: Encourage, monitor, and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements, providing constructive and developmental feedback.
• Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for students and colleagues, enforcing health and safety standards and promoting awareness among students.
• Personal Coaching and Pastoral Care: Provide personal coaching and pastoral support to designated students, helping them develop their skills and progress in their careers.
• Industry Knowledge and CPD: Stay up-to-date with industry developments in your specialist area, ensuring the relevance and employability of our students.
• Continuing Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with theory and practice within the education sector.

• Qualifications and Experience: Hold a teaching qualification and experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors, or have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification.
• Administrative Skills: Possess good administrative skills, including the ability to accurately track student attendance, progress, and achievements.
