Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Autism Support Specialist to join our team at PK Education. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs, including high-functioning Autism, in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with complex needs, including high-functioning Autism, in a classroom setting.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of SEND students.
- Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with Autism, including behavior management and communication techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for SEND students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEND students.
Requirements:
- Experience working in schools, preferably in a SEND or special education setting.
- Knowledge of Autism and its effects on learning and behavior.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with Autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
