Job Summary

This English Academic Mentor role is an excellent opportunity for a First-Class Graduate with an aspiration to go into teaching to gain hands-on experience in a Secondary school setting.

The ideal candidate will have an English related degree from a Top 20 UK University and be keen to inspire the next generation and share their subject knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and teach English lessons to KS3 & KS4 students (with KS5 option)
  • Receive mentorship and training from an outstanding English department
  • Assist Years 7-13 students applying to Russell group and Oxbridge Universities
  • Support students in a classroom setting, 1:1, and through small group interventions
  • Increase academic progression of students
Requirements
  • English related degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Experience working with children ideally in a school setting is desirable
What We Offer

This English Academic Mentor role offers a full-time term time only position with a competitive salary of £480-£600 per week, paid weekly on a PAYE basis.

The role is ideal for an aspiring Teacher keen to gain some hands-on experience and work in a leading Secondary school located in Central East London with a warm and welcoming environment.
