About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning and Field Engineer to join our team at John Zink Hamworthy Combustion. As a key member of our global service organization, you will be responsible for providing expert support to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of their combustion systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Supervision: Oversee the installation of new equipment, ensuring it meets our high standards and is properly commissioned.
  • Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough commissioning and troubleshooting of combustion systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Annual Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Operational and Functional Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of combustion systems, including mechanical and electrical aspects, and be able to learn complex mechanical systems.
  • PLC and Control Device Expertise: Have experience with programmable controllers (PLCs), PID loop controllers, VFDs, HMI systems, and other control devices, including Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel regularly to customer job sites, both onshore and offshore, to provide support and services.
Requirements
  • Recognized Qualification: Hold a recognized qualification in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Combustion Systems Experience: Have experience working with combustion systems, burners, flares, and gas combustor units.
  • PLC Programming Experience: Possess experience with PLC programming and be able to learn complex systems.
  • Travel Requirements: Be able to travel to job sites approximately 65% of the time.
