We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Critical Care team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our Critical Care team to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the care of critically ill patients through the critical care pathway to ensure effective management of their patient group.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay.
- Lead and manage a team of Critical Care nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Current NMC Registration
- First-level degree
- Post-registration Critical Care Qualification
- Evidence of current CPD
- 3 years professional clinical experience in Critical Care specialty at Band 6 or above in Critical Care
- Highly developed clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously with experience of successfully resolving complex problems
- Ability to successfully manage people and change
- Extensive experience in managing own workload and leading a team
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to apply evidence-based practice
- A sound knowledge of professional policies and procedures
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to ensure clinical governance is embedded into practice
- A commitment to clinical supervision and staff development
- Knowledge of research/audit processes and application
- Proven ability to deal with difficult/sensitive situations
