Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the shaping and development of esure's future as an integral member of a high-performing Agile team.
  • Design and construct digital and technical products that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to set the technical direction for supported products and ensure seamless integration into our continuous deployment environment.
  • Establish a robust automated test suite to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications.
  • Provide 2nd line support for applications and platforms, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive the adoption of Agile and DevOps practices across the organization, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in scaled Agile development, with a strong understanding of delivery partners and 3rd party applications.
  • Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, with a focus on cloud-based environments.
  • Expertise in microservices, database programming, event streaming, and queueing technologies, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Experience working on technical projects within cross-functional teams, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Knowledge and practice of code quality techniques, including continuous integration, unit testing, and peer reviews.
  • Rapid research and adaptation to new programming tools and techniques, with a focus on staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Experience building and scaling high-traffic websites or mission-critical line-of-business systems, with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Automated integration and acceptance testing experience, preferably with a BDD framework.
