About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Teesside - SEND. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs, as well as associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in small classes using behaviour management skills to assist them in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Mentor and engage with students, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
  • Be confident in behaviour management skills to de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
Requirements
  • Be resilient, empathetic, patient, and not take things too personally.
  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
