Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a community-minded professional to take on a pivotal role in the operation of our Parish Council.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support and robust financial management, working closely with council members, County and District Councils, local organisations, and residents. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as the ability to work on their own initiative and manage finances effectively.
We offer a competitive salary, a NEST Pension Scheme, and opportunities for growth and training. A CilCA qualification is desirable, but training will be considered where required. The role requires some evening work to attend Council and Committee meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Parish Council
- Manage the Council's finances, including budgeting and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial management systems
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders
- Attend Council and Committee meetings
