About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Platform/Infrastructure team at Proofpoint. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of cloud infrastructure tooling and working closely with our engineering teams to help them adopt these tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure tooling to support our engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless adoption of new tools and technologies.
  • Contribute to the execution of our goal of "everything as code" and GitOps.
  • Design and implement efficient Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Develop and utilize observability systems for comprehensive telemetry, tracing, and anomaly detection.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilitating the adoption of CI/CD practices within software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with IaC initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledgeable in developing and utilizing observability systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with GoLang, Python, Kubernetes, Harness, Terraform, and Cloudbees.
