Job Title: Process Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Operator to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Global Point, Newtownabbey. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for processing activities, including deburring precision components, preparing and processing components through chemical treatments, and inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish job requirements from drawings, production cards, or job instruction sheets.
  • Plan, organize, and control the flow of components to ensure maximum utilization of resources.
  • Select appropriate jigs or fixtures for assembly of aircraft joints.
  • Ensure production and non-running times are recorded via the Data Collection System.
  • Debur precision components using manual and automated equipment as necessary.
  • Prepare and process components through chemical treatments, including spraying, preparation, maintenance, and disposal of chemicals.
  • Pre-clean and post-clean components for QA testing.
  • Identify and mark parts using manual or automated methods.
  • Pack and unpack components to company specifications.
  • Inspect work and record as necessary.
  • Record any necessary data.
  • Operate equipment and processes safely, following proper procedures and wearing appropriate clothing and equipment.
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English C or above.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions.
  • Experience of reading production cards.
  • NVQ L2 or above in a relevant discipline (advantageous).
  • Experience working with components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work experience in the aerospace or similarly regulated industry.
