Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tyre Performance Engineer to join our Andretti Cadillac Team at the Silverstone Facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization at each event, both at the track and through management of factory support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the race team in tyre performance optimization and tyre management during the event: Work closely with the Head of Race Strategy & Tyre Performance to define the department strategic direction and plan projects around available resources.
  • Develop and maintain tyre performance tools, methods, and infrastructure: Guide the development of bespoke tools for analyzing tyre performance and ensure continuous improvement of operational processes at the factory and at the track.
  • Coordinate tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation: Look at future years for expected tyre performance and behavior.
  • Provide engineering support for car development: Ensure mandatory tyre reporting is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop and maintain department administration and reporting procedures: Provide support and mentoring to junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • High level motorsports experience in tyre performance: Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high performance vehicles.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills: Ability to drive projects and provide leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team.
  • Excellent presentation skills: Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills: Experience in performing data analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and visualization, using Python, R, or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Eagerness to contribute positively to an open and inclusive culture.
