About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Engineer to join our team at Myles Roberts. As a Kafka Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable Kafka clusters on Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Kafka clusters on Kubernetes environments
  • Develop and maintain Kafka connectors using schema registry
  • Administer and operate the Kafka platform, including connectors, tasks, workers, converters, and transforms
  • Implement custom connectors using Kafka core concepts and API
  • Use automation tools like Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab for provisioning and deployment
  • Ensure security on Kafka, monitor, prevent, and troubleshoot security-related issues
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience working on Kafka connect using schema registry in high-volume environments
  • Administration and operations of the Kafka platform
  • Hands-on experience on custom connectors using Kafka core concepts and API
  • Using automation tools like provisioning using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab
  • Setting up security on Kafka, monitor, prevent, and troubleshoot security-related issues
