Job Opportunity for CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in the Hove, East Sussex area. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert care and support to children and adolescents with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the multidisciplinary team to ensure a person-centred environment
  • Adhere to risk assessment protocols and risk management within our service
  • Oversee patient treatment plans, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and follow-ups for outpatients
  • Prescribe medication, monitor, and stabilize medication as needed
  • Ensure cohesiveness, consistency, and continuity in patient care
  • Facilitate internal continuity and communication between disciplines, promoting collaborative MDT working
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Recent experience in acute Psychiatry
  • Relevant experience in a similar setting, working with adults aged 18+
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
  • Ability to work alongside and lead a multidisciplinary team
  • In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Legislation
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles
