As the Lead Prosthetic Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and advocating for exceptional prosthetic care and treatment across various amputation levels, ensuring adherence to best practices within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, measurements, casting, fitting, delivery, supply, review, and adjustments of prosthetic devices as necessary across a spectrum of amputation levels.
- Utilize both traditional techniques and advanced CADCAM technology for model casting and rectification.
- Manage patient expectations effectively, ensuring their needs are acknowledged and that they remain informed throughout the treatment process.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine the most suitable and effective treatment plans for patients.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to students, recent graduates, and less experienced team members.
- Identify and engage in clinical audits and/or research initiatives in partnership with the Service Manager and clinical leads.
