Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom TTP Full time

About Cellular Origins

Cell therapies have demonstrated the potential to treat severe and previously unmanageable conditions such as cancer by re-engineering the patient's immune response. Expanding access to these life-saving treatments necessitates a transformation in production and process automation.

Cellular Origins, a part of TTP, is dedicated to facilitating scalable, cost-efficient, and effective production of cell and gene therapies. Our innovative technology tackles the complexities of large-scale manufacturing with a sophisticated solution for automated sterile fluidic connections that minimizes costs and labor, reduces human error, and enhances efficiency.

Position Overview: Senior Test & Development Engineer

This role presents an excellent opportunity to become a vital member of our Product Delivery team, contributing significantly to the advancement of Cellular Origins' Constellation system. Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and scientists, you will play a crucial role in realizing our vision through comprehensive development and meticulous testing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Guide the development towards a dependable and robust system by creating tailored testing environments and engaging in hands-on testing and experimental activities.
  • Participate in the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical devices and their components, transitioning to manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct reliability assessments to ensure the Constellation system endures the challenges of real-world applications, thereby enhancing the durability and longevity of our technology.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure that the quality of the systems consistently meets the standards established during the development phases.

As part of our rapidly expanding startup, you will have the opportunity to influence more than just your daily tasks. By collaborating across various teams, you will be instrumental in propelling the ongoing development of our innovative technology.

This is a unique chance to make a significant impact within a technically demanding and purpose-driven organization, surrounded by passionate and dedicated colleagues, all striving to shape the future of cell therapy manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field with relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing and troubleshooting intricate electromechanical systems, ideally within a product development or manufacturing context.
  • Strong grasp of reliability testing techniques, with the capability to design and implement test plans that ensure product quality and performance.
  • Proficient technical analysis and documentation skills, including the ability to generate Test Specifications, Test Protocols, and Test Reports.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of effective collaboration in interdisciplinary teams and fast-paced settings.
  • Familiarity with software tools for developing test scripts, processing log files, and managing database content.
  • Experience in an Agile environment is a plus but not mandatory.

While we have outlined our ideal candidate, we recognize that not everyone may meet all the requirements. We value diversity and encourage applications from individuals who meet most of the specified qualifications.

Benefits:

Cellular Origins is part of TTP Group, an employee-owned organization situated within purpose-built sustainable offices and laboratories. TTP Group has been a leader in bioprocess automation for over two decades, emphasizing long-term investment and a culture that fosters entrepreneurship, collaboration, and the freedom to excel in your work.
