We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Material Handler to join our team at Servomex, a leading company in gas analysis. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics and order fulfillment processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Receive and process incoming materials, updating our business system accordingly.
- Deliver materials to storage or usage locations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Replenish Kanban systems, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Perform pre-use cleaning of materials as required.
- Pack goods for shipment, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Order packaging materials as needed, maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Conduct cycle counts for perpetual inventory tracking, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of material management and process improvements, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
**About Your Talent:**
We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual with experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
**Essential Skills and Experience:**
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Motivated self-starter with a proactive and team-spirited approach.
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience with packing and shipping.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
**Desirable Skills and Experience:**
- Forklift training.
- Experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
- IATA Dangerous Goods Training.
**Essential Education:**
GCSE Grade C or 3 or above (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science, or ONC (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, or technology subjects.
**Location:**
Crowborough, East Sussex, UK.
**Job Type:**
Full-time 6-month contract.
**Work Schedule:**
Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.
**Salary:**
Up to £22,000.
