Preconstruction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team at Eden Brown. As a leading recruitment agency, we specialize in placing top talent in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the preconstruction phase of commercial office fit out projects, including the preparation of estimates, budgets, schedules, and value engineering analysis.
- Collaborate with the business development and design teams to review and provide input on project proposals, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget, and timeline.
- Manage the bidding process, including the solicitation of subcontractor and supplier proposals, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection.
- Oversee the development of accurate and competitive cost estimates, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough site evaluations and assessments to identify potential challenges, opportunities, and risks during the preconstruction phase.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the preconstruction process.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve preconstruction processes, methodologies, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful preconstruction management on commercial office fit out projects, preferably within the London market.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and systems, with a keen understanding of cost implications and value engineering opportunities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing preconstruction team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in industry-standard preconstruction software and tools, such as estimating, scheduling, and building information modelling (BIM) software.
