POSITION: Site Manager

LOCATION: London

SALARY: UP TO £54,000 + bonus + travel

A leading Structural Steel Specialist is seeking a Site Manager to oversee multiple projects in the London area. This role offers the opportunity for significant autonomy, allowing you to influence the management of your team and operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site management, directing and coordinating all activities conducted by the company and its subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on health and safety, planning, and coordination with off-site operations.
  • Manage and control all site operations, including both in-house and subcontracted work.
  • Monitor, document, and report on site activities, including the preparation of progress reports.


Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive understanding of steel construction methods and practices in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling steelwork installation and related packages.
  • Experience in creating risk assessments, method statements, and other necessary site documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with the erection of various steel structures, particularly in high-rise, medium-rise, and urban settings, as well as refurbishment projects involving welding operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CSCS black/platinum card in site management.
  • NVQ Level 6 in construction management.
  • SMSTS or equivalent IOSH certification.
  • Appointed Person certification is highly desirable.
