Position Overview:
Wilson Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team, focusing on the upkeep of commercial vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet MOT standards.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday with alternating shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00.

Compensation:
Competitive pay rates with overtime at time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards.
- Diagnose and resolve a wide range of mechanical issues.
- Provide roadside assistance for disabled vehicles at customer locations.
- Handle all vehicles with care, adhering to safety protocols while on the premises.
- Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
- Follow Health & Safety regulations and maintain safe working practices.
- Ensure accurate clocking and timely completion of job cards and service sheets.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Stay updated with product knowledge and participate in training sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work within established guidelines and meet strict deadlines.
- Capacity to perform under pressure and actively seek solutions to challenges.
- Team-oriented with strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Flexibility to handle a diverse range of tasks.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Technical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ) or substantial experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- LGV/HGV license preferred, ideally with ADR certification.
