About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-Term Teachers Limited. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom and 1:1 support to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, focusing on their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as contributing to the development of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training, with a desire to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.
