We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team at PrettyLittleThing, focusing on our popular hard and soft accessories area. This includes products such as hats, bags, sunglasses, footwear, and jewelry. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accessories department, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and implement product strategies to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with the senior buying team and our Buying Director to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with Design and Merchandising teams to manage open-to-buy and undertake European and Far East trips.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain effective communication with junior, assistant, and trainee buyers.
- Report key information to Heads and Director level during trading meetings.
- Generate ideas to impact the business through promotions and markdowns.
- Manage stocks according to KPIs and maintain open-to-buy accordingly.
- Respond to competitor analysis and complete buying trips as needed.
- Liaise with marketing and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional relationships.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Previous experience as a Buyer or Junior Buyer.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workload effectively.
- Outstanding industry knowledge and trend identification skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to travel when required.
