Job Description:
The Senior Engineering Manager will form a crucial part of the site Senior Leadership team at Michael Page (UK). They will be responsible for the entire site Engineering function and a team of 25+ engineers and technicians. The successful candidate will:
- Oversee the engineering department and manage a complex team of engineers and technicians.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department, ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department, aligning with business objectives and industry standards.
- Work closely with other department heads to ensure compliance with industry regulations and manage departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
- Develop and drive PPM schedules to maximise plant availability and efficiency, ensuring the highest level of quality and productivity.
Requirements:
- An engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector, with a strong track record of delivering results and driving business growth.
- Demonstrable Capex management experience, with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
- Extensive people management experience, including a large team of multi-disciplined engineers, with a strong focus on leadership and development.
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A commitment to sustainability and a forward-thinking approach, with a focus on driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
