Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HLTA to join our team at a fantastic primary school in London. As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes
  • Monitor pupils and assess, record and report on pupils' achievement, progress and development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment
  • Provide support and guidance to pupils with additional or special needs

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification desirable but not essential
  • Over 3 months experience in a similar role where you covered and taught whole classes, covering teacher's PPA time
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent ICT competency in all Microsoft Packages and a working knowledge of Apple systems
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a highly pressured environment to meet demands and deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexibly
