About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team on an NHS universal crisis service in Carlisle. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert mental health care to patients aged 18-65, utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches to support their recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Participate in shift leadership and mentorship, supporting the growth and development of junior staff members.
  • Engage in medication administration, management, and verbal de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-qualifying experience.
  • Valid NMC registration and Enhanced DBS check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care, adhering to NMC Code of Conduct and core values.
