Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Planning: Utilize forecasted demand for products and components to ensure adequate inventory levels, minimizing excess stock and maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including maintaining the Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Manufacturing Planning: Oversee the relationship with contract manufacturing partners, ensuring proper process control, well-maintained delivery schedules, and quality control.
- Purchasing Activities: Handle procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and monitoring lead times for component stock.
- Supplier Development: Identify new suppliers and alternative providers, negotiating pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness, development, and compliance with our supplier quality manual.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Work closely with Engineering to update and maintain the BOM for all products, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with testing and assembly standards by third-party providers, monitoring and reporting on product quality.
- Stock Control: Manage stock inventory, including recording and maintaining accurate stock levels. Collaborate with the Operations team on stock counting and control processes.
- Order Fulfilment Support: Provide assistance to the Operations team as needed to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Resource Planning System Development: Develop and implement an ERP/MRP system to manage stock from production to delivery.
- Reporting and KPI Analysis: Prepare ad hoc reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and optimize supply chain performance.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Experience in procurement and supply chain management for hardware/electrical components with layered bills of materials, preferably within high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong initiative to drive continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience using an ERP system for inventory management and procurement processes, ideally Cin7 or similar.
- A keen interest in the energy sector and commitment to achieving Net Zero goals.
