Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Healthcare Assistant to become a vital member of the Medical Ward at NHS Lanarkshire.

The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for providing essential care services to patients, working closely with registered nurses, and will often operate independently.

The successful candidate will undertake assigned responsibilities to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety within the ward setting.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • SVQ III in healthcare, or in progress, or equivalent experience in a caring role.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to perform assigned patient care tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
