About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving healthy meals to our children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality meals for our children.
- Help maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and health regulations.
- Support the cook in accommodating children's dietary needs and allergies.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a nursery or similar setting.
- A Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or willingness to obtain one).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for preparing healthy, nutritious meals for young children.
