Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Watershed Technician to join our team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Watershed Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Waste Water Services Treatment and Sewage Pumping Stations Managers, as well as the broader management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pollution investigations and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Assist the team in addressing compliance issues and providing actionable solutions.
  • Manage incidents and facilitate recovery efforts.
  • Offer technical support to Waste Water Operational Teams to enhance compliance and asset reliability.
  • Develop detailed action plans and contingency strategies.
  • Investigate health and safety concerns and resolve hazards.
  • Contribute to asset optimization initiatives, including the Smart Alarm project.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and provide necessary information to customers.
  • Support management in ensuring governance processes are followed, including Fire Alarm Testing and H&S inspections.
  • Assist with energy and water efficiency programs in the field.

Qualifications:
  • 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a Science subject; or
  • ONC / City and Guilds in a relevant field or NVQ Waste Water Process or Sewerage Control Level 2 standard of competence or HNC / Water Diploma.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to analyze diverse data sources for informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and corporate applications.
  • Experience in fault reporting and notification.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes within the team and support broader initiatives.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
  • Willingness to undertake out-of-hours standby duties as required.
