We are committed to assisting each young person in developing resilience, nurturing positive relationships, and reaching their full potential during the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Nighttime Oversight: Deliver attentive and compassionate overnight care and supervision to young individuals in a residential environment.
- Safety Assurance: Guarantee the safety and security of all residents through regular monitoring and proactive risk management.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to young individuals who may experience distress during nighttime hours.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and educators.
- Ongoing Training: Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in supporting children with challenging behaviors and childhood trauma is essential. Previous experience in a children's residential setting or as an overnight support worker is beneficial.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Registration: Must be registered or willing to register with the relevant social care authority.
- DBS Check: Must possess or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

- Industry Acumen: Well-versed in safeguarding regulations, de-escalation techniques, and practices associated with being a children's residential support worker.
